INSPIRED BY DIY CULTURE AND JAPANESE BREAKCORE, OUR MISSION IS TO KEEP UNIQUE AND LESSER-KNOWN STYLES AVAILABLE TO ALL THE FREAKS OUT THERE. EXPECT EVENTS PACKED WITH GLITCHED ARTWORKS AND A CHAOTIC MESS OF AMEN BREAKS, GABBER KICKS AND WHATEVER ELSE THAT GETS CHOPPED UP BY OUR INVITED GUESTS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD.

▼ WHO IS AMEN ZOO?

AMEN ZOO is founded in 2018 by MEATCHOPPER 118, GREG DIE [both part of Hit ‘n Run soundsystem] and MEOWMEOW. We are located in the Netherlands but also do parties abroad.

But it’s not just us: these parties would have never existed if we did not have all the help from lovely friends, random supporters and the crowd that makes the effort to travel to our events!!

Something that d̵o̸e̵s̷n̶’̸t̶ ̶e̷x̶i̸s̶t̶.

At our parties a DICE decides the entry price!!!! Or if you’re not into games or just very shy you can donate 4 EUR. And in very rare cases there will be two dices used, then you can donate 7 EUR.

We are non-profit and do everything ourselves with many support of volunteers. Through partying for more then a decade we got to meet many artists that are willing to contribute with our mission to support the scene. And also we are open to a newer generation of producers.

Of course we spend money to organize all of this, and it’s worth mentioning that you could really help us by giving a donation! In exchange we will continue to deliver unique experiences with rare line-ups, approachable for everyone.

▼ CAN I HELP / VOLUNTEER?

We run our organisation through the help of many friends and strangers. From door entry, VJ/lights control, sound engineers, bar support, security, first aid, photographers, bookers, the artists themselves and everyone else; we all volunteer.

It aligns with an openminded and provocative approach that fits with breakcore and DIY art. Also, we are disgusted by the idea of financial gain over music talent. That’s not what music should be about. We understand the importance of being financially stable but we have found our way to provide a more approachable alternative [at least for now].
